Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two Columbia Residents On Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

Adair County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 that resulted in 2 Columbia residents being arrested on drug charges. 

Brandon Frausto, age 32, of Columbia, charged with: 

Rear License Plate Not Illuminated 

Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 

Possession of Marijuana 

Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

Kristina Cooper, age 29, of Columbia, charged with: 

Public Intoxication 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

Promoting Contraband 1st degree 

Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine 

Arrest was made by Deputy Josh Durbin and Chief Deputy Brandon Hitch, who were assisted on scene by CPD Officers Bunch and Ginn.
