Jo Ann Sluder

November 18, 1933  –  April 27, 2026

Jo Ann Sluder the daughter of the late William Arthur Townsend and Hattie Pearl Riddle Townsend, was born November 18, 1933 and departed this life on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was 92 years of age.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, watching the Cincinnati Reds, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

She was united in marriage to Doyle Austin Sluder and he preceded her in death in 2019. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Ann Brady, and two sisters, Ruth Evelyn Smeltzer and Catherine Louise Hopkins.

She is survived by two grandchildren, James Scott “Jamie” Russell (Mashonda), and Kristi Lynn Phillips (Dustin) all of Campbellsville. Three great-grandchildren, Shandi Ridner (Trevor) of Somerset, Kayden Phillips and Kaylee Phillips both of Campbellsville and one great-great-grandchild, Hadley Ridner.

The funeral service for Jo Ann Sluder will be 11 AM Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Evan Tedder will officiate.

The family has requested visitation on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
