The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of individuals attempting to scam people in our community. These individuals are calling and pretending to be law-enforcement they will attempt to tell the citizens that they either have a warrant or they have missed jury duty.
They will then ask for money to pay the fines. Please do not fall victim to these scammers if you receive a phone call like this and are concerned that you may have a fine, call your local authorities to verify.
