On Saturday, July 25, 2026, Adair County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 175 Overstreet Road in reference to the location of a wanted fugitive.
Upon arrival Deputies encountered Christopher “Critter” McClister trying to leave the residence from a back door.
Upon seeing Deputies, McClister went back inside the residence and tried to hide.
Deputies got consent to enter the residence and were able to take McClister into custody without incident.
The arrest was made by Adair County Deputy Sheriff Ricky Shirley, with assistance from Deputy Joey Keith.
