On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at approximately 12:57 p.m., Campbellsville Police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on Smith Ridge Road.
Officers arrived on the scene and found 44-year-old Erica Meredith of Campbellsville suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was treated following the incident.
Following an investigation, police located and arrested 35-year-old Kayla Thompson, also of Campbellsville. Thompson has been charged with first-degree assault in connection with the stabbing.
