Drivers with license renewals due in June are encouraged to take care of their licensing needs early as Kentucky prepares for a temporary shutdown of Driver Licensing Regional Offices during a system transition.
According to KYTC Drive, all Driver Licensing Regional Offices across the state will be closed on June 4th and June 5th as officials transition to a new licensing system. Offices are scheduled to reopen on June 8th.
Following the reopening, offices will operate with modified walk-in hours from 8 a.m. until noon from June 8th through June 18th.
Officials are encouraging anyone needing to renew a license or complete other licensing services to visit an office before the closures to avoid delays.
