Mr. Eugene Stanley Mosz, currently of Campbellsville, KY., was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 1, 1932, to the late Stanley and Mary Durlak Mosz. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his residence, having attained the age of ninety-two years, four months and eleven days.
He had made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He was a Sergeant and served in the Korean War receiving the Korean Service Ribbon, three Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, and The National Defense Service Medal. He was an active member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124 of Greensburg. He was employed with General Foods as a Maintenance Mechanic until his retirement. He loved music and dancing and was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bird watching with an extra interest in purple martins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Pinkie “Dimples” Ora Bagby being wed on June 4, 1955.
Survivors include one son: Stephen Anthony Mosz and wife Christine; one daughter: Sharon Ann Mosz; one brother: Frank Mosz; three grandchildren: Kimberlee Hmurovic, Nicholas Mosz, and Samantha Krylowicz and four great-grandchildren: Zosia, Athena, Amelia, Aurora.
Funeral Services for Mr. Eugene Stanley Mosz will be conducted on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 1PM Central Time at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery in Green County with Military Honors. Visitation has been requested from 6PM-8PM Central Time on Saturday, June 15, 2024, and after 7AM on Sunday until time of the service at Foster Toler Curry Funeral Home.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Alzheimer’s Association and those can be made at the funeral home.
