Help with Rent & Utilities in Green County

This Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Green County Ministers Association (GCMA) Help Desk will be open to serve our neighbors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST at Greensburg City Hall.

The GCMA Help Desk exists to offer practical help to Green County residents who are facing challenges with rent or utility bills. If you live in Green County, you may qualify for assistance. Proof of residency can be as simple as a driver’s license and a current utility bill. Residency and need may also be affirmed through a referral from a GCMA member, a local minister, a Community Action social worker, or a city or county officer. Church membership is not required.

To receive help, simply go to Greensburg City Hall during Help Desk hours and let the staff know you would like to meet with the GCMA Help Desk officer.

The funds used by the GCMA Help Desk come from local churches and caring individuals who seek to serve Christ by serving others. Many of these gifts are also made by people who once received help themselves and are now paying it forward so others can find relief and hope.

GCMA is a non-profit ministry where local churches work together to do for Christ what they could not do alone—supporting the well-being of our city and county. We also work closely with Community Action, whose referrals often allow us to respond more quickly to urgent needs.

The GCMA Help Desk is typically available monthly on the third Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST, at Greensburg City Hall. Please note that weather or holidays may occasionally require schedule changes, so be sure to follow this page for the latest updates.
