Lindsey Wilson College Inducts New Members Into Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society

International honor society honors high achievement in English language, literature and writing.

COLUMBIA, KY. (04/15/2025) The Lindsey Wilson College English Department welcomed four new members into the college’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international honor society for students of English, on Monday, April 14, in a ceremony in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery of the W.W. Slider Humanities Center.

The new members of the Alpha Kappa Phi chapter are students Morgan Bryant ’26 of Shelbyville, Kentucky; Jesse LaGrange ’26 of Burkesville, Kentucky; Lilly Streeval ’26 of Columbia; and Chloe Taylor ’26 of Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan University, Sigma Tau Delta has more than 850 chapters on U.S. college and university campuses. Its purpose is to confer distinction for high achievement in English language, literature and writing, and also to foster literacy and all aspects of the discipline of English.
