Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Drug Arrests

On February 25, 2025, at 6:52 a.m., dispatch alerted The Hodgenville Police Department to a suspicious vehicle traveling from Magnolia toward Hodgenville. The vehicle was later located at Landmark Drive.

Upon making contact, officers identified three suspects: Casey Heath, Ciera Heath, and Cory Schmitz, all of Bowling Green. All three appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Further investigation led to the arrest of the suspects.

Mr. and Mrs. Heath were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree (Heroin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Schmitz was charged for Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three suspects were lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center (LCDC).

The investigation was conducted by Officer Steven Grant and Sergeant Kevin Bennett.
