Judy Ann Gilbert, of Georgetown, KY formerly of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Freeman and Esther (Warf) Thompson, was born October 13, 1941 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Friday, July 17, 2026 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. She was 84 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and was formerly in retail clothing sales.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and Jackie Thompson.
Judy enjoyed the Red Hatters, decorating, flowers and fashion.
Survivors include her husband: Wendell Gilbert; her son: Derrick Gilbert and wife Shannon, all of Georgetown.
Her grandchildren: Jon Gilbert and wife Kayla and Chad Gilbert and wife Haley; one great-grandchild: Emerson Gilbert and one expectant great-grandchild: Olive.
Two sisters-in-law: Brenda Skaggs and Donna Burris; her special friends: Nancye Richardson and Julia Hartfield and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.
Clergy Officiating: Bro. Dave Griesemer
Interment: Brookside Cemetery
Visitation: after 12 noon Tuesday until time for the service.
