January 5, 1946 – July 14, 2026
Mr. James Harold “Jimmy” Nolley of Campbellsville, son of the late Hulet and Mary Ermine (Benningfield) Nolley, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, July 17, 2026, at his home. He was 80 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Nolley was a talented mechanic by trade and was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend. He especially enjoyed time spent with those he loved, whether shooting pool or pitching horseshoes, – and arguing politics. As a young man, Jimmy loved to listen to – and learn from – older folks, and his natural curiosity helped him gain a unique knowledge about how things worked (or didn’t), and he was usually right about the things he said. He had a innate ability to find purpose and value for things many wouldn’t; it wasn’t junk, he’d say, he just didn’t need it at the moment. His leadership, compassion, and friendship will be dearly missed for generations.
He leaves to carry his legacy:
His spouse of 45 years: Debbie (Corbin) Nolley,
Three children: Ashley Nolley Hash, Lisa Brewer, and Todd Nolley and wife Lorie,
Ten grandchildren: Grant Rodgers, Cailie Jeffries and husband Adam, Candace Sneed and husband Jason, Blake Brewer and wife Danielle, Drew Nolley and wife Paige, Andrea Sullivan and husband Joshua, Grace Beck and husband Jon, Jeffrey Nolley and fiancé Mary Farmer, Kaden Nolley, and Lauren Nolley,
And a host of other extended family members and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son: Greg Nolley; and five siblings: Charles Nolley, Elwood Nolley, Elbert Nolley, Ingram Nolley, and Jana Bellinger.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Jimmy Nolley on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM EDT (12:00 PM CDT) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 24, from 11:00 AM EDT (10:00 AM CDT) until time for the service.
