Born on July 15, 1960, to Rosalean Pike and Phillip Johnson, Carrie lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, creativity, and devotion to her family and community. She was a loving mother, caring daughter, gifted artist, and passionate advocate for preserving family history through genealogy. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit touched all who knew her.
Carrie dedicated much of her life to the study and preservation of genealogy, becoming known by many as a true genealogy guru. Through her leadership, she helped establish multiple genealogy chapters across several states, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to connect families and preserve histories for generations to come.
She also found great joy in art and crafts, expressing her creativity in ways that brought beauty and warmth into the lives of others. Whether through her research, her artwork, or her acts of kindness, Carrie gave generously of herself and inspired those around her to cherish both faith and family.
Above all, Carrie’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her three children: Randy Olson, Danielle Loptien, and Tommy Olson; along with six cherished grandchildren.
Carrie’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She carried herself with grace, compassion, and a deep belief in God’s love and eternal promise. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
