Darla Gail Jeffries was born August 18, 1958, in Jefferson County, KY to the late Ualies and Gail Clark Jeffries. She departed this life Friday, July 17, 2026, at her home in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of sixty-seven years.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a volunteer Firefighter in Washington County. She loved spending time with her family. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Jeffrey and Nicky Jeffries and Mona Davis.
She is survived by one son: Shane Poynter (Tonya Henry) of Greensburg, one daughter: Jennifer Poynter (Willie Lydick) of Louisville, her brothers and sisters: Kathy Miller, Tony Jeffries and Marlene Matheis of Greensburg, Tonya Jeffries of Springfield and Michael Jeffries of Louisville, five grandchildren: Tyron Poynter (Ashlee), Amare Poynter, Zach Wilson (Lindsay), Jordan Lydick (Kendra), and Kaitlin Sears (Zach), six great grandchildren: Kaizlyn Poynter, Ava Lydick, Huxley Wilson, Lincoln Sears, Ellie Sears and Bryson Sears, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Darla Gail Jeffries will be 1 p.m. Central Time Friday, July 24, 2026, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Josh Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in Green County.
The visitation for Darla Gail Jeffries will be from 10 a.m. Central Time until 1 P.M. Central Time Friday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
