John Walter “J.W.” Karnes, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Walter N. Karnes and Doris Ruth Shofner Karnes of Campbellsville, was born July 31, 1967, and departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 56 years of age.
He was a self-employed painter and loved and also enjoyed artwork. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Ruth Shofner Karnes, along with four brothers: Darrell “D.L.” Karnes, Brian Karnes, and wife Tasha all of Campbellsville, David Karnes of Texas, and Roger Karnes of Maine.
A niece and nephew Eli Karnes and Shelby Karnes both of Campbellsville.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Otter Creek Cemetery.
Bro Freddy Thompson will officiate.
